£6,000 (excl. VAT)
Original preliminary pencil sketch on paper created by Mary GrandPré in 2006 as she prepared the title artwork for Chapter 7 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, titled The Will of Albus Dumbledore.
This evocative artwork depicts a tender moment at the Burrow between Harry and Ginny Weasley. As Harry prepares to leave, Ginny offers him a kiss—a heartfelt gesture to remember her by. From the earliest stages of J.K. Rowling’s writing, she envisioned the deepening romance between Harry and Ginny, symbolising Harry’s place within the Weasley family. Mary GrandPré captures one of the final moments of normalcy and warmth before Harry embarks on his perilous quest to locate and destroy Voldemort’s remaining Horcruxes.
