£3,000 (excl. VAT)

Original preliminary pencil sketch on paper created by Mary GrandPré in 2004 as she prepared the title artwork for Chapter 5 of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, titled An Excess of Phlegm.

This charming study depicts Fleur Delacour—whom Ginny affectionately nicknames "Phlegm"—as she brings breakfast to the Weasley household. Fleur, the Veela from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic who previously competed in the Triwizard Tournament, has now fallen for Bill Weasley and is living with the family. Mary’s artwork captures Fleur’s delicate beauty and warmth, perfectly illustrating her new role within the Weasley household.
