£15,000 (excl. VAT)

Original preliminary pencil sketch on paper created by Mary GrandPré in 2006 as she prepared a tail-piece to accompany the conclusion of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This artwork, conceived under the direction of art director David Saylor, was ultimately not included in the final publication.

The image depicts Harry, Ron, and Hermione together, capturing a rare moment of unity among the trio. Intended to appear after the epilogue in the trade edition, this tail-piece was designed to provide a visual closure but remained unused, making it one of the few original illustrations featuring all three main characters together.
